A Castle Rock place but I guess you would describe it as a bar more than a pub. It’s quite small, in a shop front on Carrington Street but it’s nicely spaced out and goes back a surprisingly long way. There’s also a lovely basement with some more seating downstairs.
It’s got the usual Castle Rock vibe with craft beers and some wines but just on a smaller scale. It’s a nice relaxed place and we didn’t feel too odd in there on a Wednesday at about 6pm.
This is where Arthur discovered an unfortunate love of salt and vinegar crisps – my fault for assuming he’d hate them – but then who can resist a packet of crisps down the pub!
Baby Changing: No
Room for pushchair: Tables quite close together and most of the seating is downstairs but we found an end to stick the pushchair on.
