Brewhouse & Kitchen

Sat on the banks of the River Trent (you might remember it as The Riverbank) this is the first pub we took Arthur to when he was 6 days old. Since then we can’t keep away!

We used to love it as The Riverbank and went all the time. When it first became Brewhouse & Kitchen it went massivly down hill. The food was slow, service bad and the staff never seemed to have a clue what was going on.

We only went back as we thought if Arthur caused a fuss we didn’t mind never showing our faces in there again. They’ve really turned it round though. The Sunday lunch was great and the staff really friendly and helpful.

It’s really big inside and outside so plenty of room for pushchairs. Me and mum went for a walk round Victoria Embankment on a Wednesday and finished with a coffee & cake (they had a deal on it but I can’t remember what it was – great carrot cake though!). We were in there at 3pm and it was quiet and a nice place to relax.

The food menu is really good and there’s a kids menu with some colouring if you’ve got older ones with you. The outside area is a gem too with stunning views over the River Trent – it’s close to the main road though so you might want to keep that in mind if you have any loose children.

Room for pushchairs: plenty

Baby changing: yes
